Grandma and Grandpa's visit

I am so behind on posting pictures, but I thought I'd better get to it, since we have another birthday right around the corner!

Grandma and Grandpa Handl were out for their first visit to San Diego over Olivia's birthday.  We had a lot of fun showing them our new city.

Swinging with Grandpa
Playing in the sand
Out for a Mexican food dinner.  Both girls enjoyed the mariachis while grandma and mommy enjoyed the Margaritas!
On the morning of Olivia's birthday, we went to the aquarium to see the sea creatures.  Olivia was much more into seeing all the fish this time and some of the tanks really got her excited.

We ventured out to the zoo for the second time.  We have now maybe covered a 1/3 of the zoo areas.  We still have a lot of exploring to do there!
Everyone look at the camera
...but, daddy, I want to look over there, at the monkeys!
Riding on the rhino.

We enjoyed a trip to the beach and Madeline and Grandpa made a huge sandcastle.  Olivia took a great nap on the beach listening to the sounds of the waves.

Olivia loved the water this time.  She would crawl right into the ocean and giggle as the waves came in.

On their last night here, we ventured over to Cornado for BBQ with all 4 grandparents, aunts and uncles.  We had a fun time taking the ferry and enjoyed the evening.
Waiting for the ferry.  Certainly this cutie should ride for free!
Smile!

We rounded out their trip with a quick visit to Old Town before dropping them back at the airport.

Thanks for visiting.  We still have lots of things to explore on your other visits!
