First Quarter 2015

It's pretty sad that I can boil down our entire First Quarter of 2015 into one blog post.  I've been really bad about documenting things this year.  Life has been busy!!

Here are a few moments I did capture on film...

Madeline got to spend a week with her traveling class mascot Franklin and we had to document his experiences with our family.

Franklin playing paddle ball and making a mess!
Beach play and dinner with friends
Doing Saturday errands
Friday family movie night
A hike with the family
We took a whirlwind trip to Tucson over President's Day and spent the long weekend there.

The girls enjoyed checking out the Tucson's Children's Museum for the first time.

We had some fun on the way back to San Diego when we discovered some dinosaurs at a local rest-stop that will likely become a regular stop on our trips back and forth...
"Argggg, they're going to eat me!"
Taunting the dinosaurs with their silly faces, also known as mommy's only tactic to get both of them to look at the camera and sit still for a picture.
Madeline and the big lizard.

There was about a two week span in late Feb-early March when all the girls wanted to wear were their gymnastic and dance clothes!  Here we have two pretty little dancers showing their stuff...
Then it was circus time with Olivia the tattooed lady showing her tummy tattoos
..and Madame Madeline with her not so trained dog!
Madeline ran her first "Digital Dash," a fundraiser for her school.  She ran an amazing 11 laps and had a fun time with her classmates!  I love how they incorporate raising money for a good cause (the STREAM programs) with some fun physical fitness activities.  A win-win!

A Feb visit to Legoland with the Mesics

We went to see our first Children's play at a nearby theater with many of Madeline's classmates.  Both girls were super good and loved watching the show.
Olivia got super sad when 'Trixie' lost her stuffed bunny.  She had big tears running down her face - guess she could really empathize with losing your favorite stuffed animal.  Poor thing!
Posing with the pigeon after the show.

Some nice March weather meant a few afternoons of dipping in the "baby pool"

Girl Scout cookies anyone??

Warmer weather also made it nice for some mornings at the beach.
They always need to stop to sit on this double-decker bench on the way to the beach.

A visit from old Houston friends

A fun late-March trip to SeaWorld to take advantage of free admission for all of us...
I love this picture, you can almost feel and hear her giggles!
Mmmm, Ice Cream on a hot day!
Selfie with Liz
The moms and their not so little babies!
The two big kids being independent watching the show off by themselves!
Look who learned to ride her bike!!  She said one day that she wanted to go ride her bike in the park without training wheels....and that's exactly what she did.  Woohoo!!

A few other miscellaneous shots in no particular order....

A girl and her pup
Olivia's Class - They already seem to have grown so much since this was taken!
Cheesy for frozen yogurt!!
Bubble fun at the Children's Museum
Twinsie day at school.  I love this photo!
The girls continue to do well in their swimming lessons.  Olivia is nearly floating!

A trip to the dentist with a Cavity-Free check-up for both!!  They love going to the dentist and they walk out with a ton of loot - its like going to a carnival!
Rock star with her dentist goody bag!
She absolutely cracks me up.  She insisted on making a sad face with her award.
...until she forgot she was playing difficult it and I made her laugh!

Madeline finished a big girl puzzle exclaiming, "Mom, I put more pieces together than you did."  She may actually be correct!
