Fall Fun

I'm super behind on posts, so I'm going to attempt to catch up a bit...

We took a day trip to Julian to see the fall leaves, get raisin bread, have a picnic and bring home an apple pie.  We enjoyed looking around the town and found a good park for our picnic where the girls enjoyed playing in the leaves.

Olivia thought the tackle was funny for about 15 sec and then she got mad!

Madeline was super excited to make Grandpa a card.  Here she is hard at work.  Her completed masterpiece was a drawing of a road with cars and billboards so Grandpa could come visit.

The girls spent one whole weekend playing outside raking the few leaves we had.  Madeline was insistent that she was going to get a pile big enough to jump into.  I even caught her breaking branches from the tree to add to her pile.

Trying to keep Olivia out of her pile was a bit of a chore.

Mommy celebrated her birthday, complete with a cake made by daddy and Madeline and a fancy "princess crown" that Madeline worked very hard to create!
