Pumpkin Patch

We ventured out today to a local Pumpkin Patch to get some pictures of the girls and to pick out a few pumpkins.  As is turning out to be our traditional Houston pumpkin patch weather, it was hot and steamy!  Not quite the ideal images of fall, but we did our best to make some fun family memories.

The train was loaded up and ready to go as soon as we got there, so Madeline quickly hopped aboard!

Picking the perfect pumpkin is hard work
This one is really heavy
This one is huge!
Just like last year, Madeline loved the "babies" the best.  She picked four of them and with some convincing, we also got her to pick out two that we can use for jack-o-lanterns
Olivia was set to sleep through her first pumpkin patch experience.  It took some convincing to get her to wake up and join in the festivities!

Wake up and smile Olivia

I'm awake and strike a pose like a natural!

The "babies" find a home under the tree in our front yard
In other news, we made a batch of Halloween sugar cookies this weekend.  Madeline had great fun digging out her spider apron from cookie baking with Grandma last year.

Madeline proud of the finished products!

Cookies are baked, costumes have been chosen, pumpkins picked, bring on Halloween!!
