Olivia's First Day of School - (and her first giggles)

Well, this is it, my maternity leave is over.  Don't ask me where it went, because it certainly doesn't seem like it has been 3 months.  It came to an end yesterday and Olivia started her first day of "school" at Primrose with Madeline.  It was a tough day for mommy, but Olivia seemed to do well.  She even got to experience her first fire drill and apparently remained very calm through it all, holding hands with her new baby friend Isabella in the crib as they were wheeled outside.  I bet that was a sight to see!

In other happenings, Madeline had her multi-cultural parade last week and enjoyed parading with her classmates in their costumes.

Madeline has been into dress up lately.  The downfall of being the little sister is that you are the guinea pig for trying on the clothes.
The phone rang, I stepped into my office for a few minutes and returned to find this!  I had to laugh because Olivia didn't seem to mind at all.  Good thing she's an easy going little one!
I love how Madeline's drawings are beginning to take shape.  This is a picture of our family.  Madeline is the one with a big head on the right-notice her eyelashes!
We spend the last day of my maternity leave enjoying a nice Houston autumn day at the park.  We watched a dance performance in the outdoor theater, had a picnic and enjoyed some playground time.  We girls had a lot of fun!

Our final update.... Olivia laughed for the first time tonight.  Just like her big sister, the bathtub brought out a case of the giggles.
