Happy 4th!

We were a bit worried about how the day would turn out. Madeline has a new tooth coming in and this one has been the worst yet, making for a bit of an unhappy baby. This pesky hurricane Alex that has been brewing in the Gulf has brought us days and days and inches and inches of rain. We took advantage of a teething baby's happy moments, the weather cooperated and our day was filled with most things that make for a great 4th....

She got a kick out of flopping around on her belly and sticking her face in the water.

We wanted to take Madeline to see some fireworks, but I think that will have to wait until next year, as she is fast asleep. Despite that cruel new tooth, I think she enjoyed her first 4th of July!
